Skeleton Coast is the ultimate backpacking adventure story. A tale told across five countries, from the breathtaking beaches of South Africa to the notorious prison cells of the Congo. 

The thrilling events first caught our attention on the front page of the Herald Sun. As we dug deeper, conducting research interviews and pouring over declassified documents, we realised the story had it all: complex protagonists sharing an impossible goal, hitchhiking and surfing shenanigans, jaw dropping scenery, beautiful cultural exchanges, peril at every turn, and false imprisonment in the most corrupt country on the planet.
